Programs

The General Education Development/GED preparation instruction program is customized to meet the individual student’s needs.  The General Education Development Program is non-graded and characterized by open entry/open exit, individualized instructional modules, flexible schedules, and performance based evaluation.  We believe strongly in the relationship between tutor and student; therefore along with individualized lesson plans we bring student and tutor together for learning and instruction.  Many adults have very busy schedules, and we find that this works best for the residents of our community.

Our Basic Computer Instruction Program includes learning the basic outline of computer function, programs and internet navigating.

Adult Basic Education/ABE is designed to improve the employability of the County’s workforce through instruction in language, mathematics, reading and workforce readiness skills.  ABE involves non-credit studies to develop basic skills necessary for successful employment and citizenship.  This program is also an open entry/open exit, flexible schedules and individualized lesson plans.

Our computer Typing Program is designed to instruct beginners and to improve individuals typing skills.

TABE/Test of Adult Basic Education is used for placement within our program and preparation for college entrance.
